Small-batch maple from our Keweenaw forest. First harvest Spring 2027.

Superior Bluff Farm is a small-scale agricultural operation located in Houghton County, Michigan.
Our focus is responsible forest-based production beginning with maple syrup from approximately 600 sugar maples. We manage our woodland with long-term stewardship in mind — prioritizing tree health, soil stability, and sustainable harvest practices.
Maple syrup is our first crop, with plans to expand into cold-climate berries, forest-grown mushrooms, and seasonal produce.
This is an agricultural business rooted in Northern Michigan’s natural landscape.
Cold nights and gradual spring thaws create ideal sap conditions in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
Each season:
• Trees are tapped responsibly
• Sap is collected and reduced in small batches
• Syrup is filtered, graded, and bottled by hand
We do not blend across seasons.
Each year reflects that harvest’s unique conditions.
Coming Spring 2027

In future growing seasons, we plan to cultivate:
• Cold-hardy berries
• Forest-grown mushrooms
• Seasonal vegetables suited to Upper Peninsula conditions
All expansion will follow agricultural best practices and soil health planning.

After establishing consistent production, we hope to offer limited educational visits and seasonal tastings.
