About

Superior Bluff Farm is a forest-based agricultural operation located in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula.

Our land is primarily Northern hardwood forest, including a strong stand of sugar maples that form the foundation of our maple syrup production. We are developing the farm with long-term stewardship in mind — balancing ecological health, agricultural productivity, and thoughtful expansion.

Our backgrounds span science, engineering, and caregiving. That perspective shapes how we approach the land: observant, methodical, and deeply respectful of natural systems. We believe good farming requires both discipline and patience — data and intuition — structure and care.

Beginning in Spring 2027, we will start tapping our sugar maples and produce small-batch maple syrup that reflects the conditions of each season. Responsible tapping, soil health, and forest management guide every step of our process.

Maple syrup is our first focus. In future seasons, we plan to expand into cold-hardy berries, forest-grown mushrooms, and select vegetables suited to northern growing conditions. Every crop will be chosen for resilience and alignment with the Keweenaw climate.

Superior Bluff Farm is being built to endure — a working farm shaped by curiosity, practicality, and respect for the forest that sustains it.
